Department of UG & PG studies in biotechnology was started two decades ago. We offers a three years B.Sc and two years of M.Sc courses, with excellent infrastructure and learner tutelage. the department is steadfast in insulating quality education, skills, and values to make learners competent human resources. Many of our students are pursuing higher education in some of the prestigious universities, institutes and national laboratories in India and Abroad. Being responsive to the academic and personal concerns of students, the department promotes immense healthy campus practices which creates excellent academic atmosphere.

With an undergraduate and post-graduate degree with Biotechnology as a disciplines, one can find job opportunities in pharmaceutical industries, healthcare, food processing units, enzyme based industries, dairies, wineries and breweries.

And also students of this major may find work in government based enterprises such as universities, research institute or private centers as research scientists / project assistants. We plan many industrial visits, Institutional tours, for the real time expose for students.
